Vintage Coro Double Leaf & Rhinestone Insect Brooch: Although I was unable to find a patent number for this delightful vintage Coro brooch, it is very similar to the insect brooches that date from the late 1940's.  In excellent condition, this gold washed double leaf brooch has a whimsical rhinestone bug perched on top.  The head of the insect has a red glass high dome cabochon, clear rhinestone eyes, and blue navettes for the wings.  The body is a larger smoky blue navette. The legs and antennae are gold washed heavy wire.  The two leaves are independent and riveted together. The leaves are dimensional, not flat. The brooch measures 1 7/8 by 2" and is signed with the Coro Pegasus mark.
