Gorgeous 1930's Blue and Green Vintage Czech Flower Basket Brooch: This vintage 1930's flower basket brooch features bright rhodium plated metal set with sparkling open back oval emerald green and aqua blue rhinestones. There are two shades of blue stones, giving even more interest to the brooch. The stones are all set in heavy prongs and the sparkle of the stones is amazing. The brooch measures 2 1/4 by 2 1/8" and is unsigned but Czech in origin.
Vintage Pot Metal Sultan Warrior Brooch: This wonderful vintage brooch features a cast pot metal turbaned Sultan wearing a sword. The detail and dimension are so well done, and he is in excellent condition. I love his long beard and curling mustache! The brooch measures 2 3/4 by 1 3/4" and is unsigned. The old style roll over clasp holds quite securely. This piece has some weight, so more suited for a jacket.
Vintage Rare Adele Simpson Sapphire and Clear Layered Snowflake Brooch: This rare vintage brooch from designer Adele Simpson is as desirable as it is beautiful! The large snowflake design features sapphire blue ovals and navettes accented with clear, sparkling rhinestones in layered gold plated metal. The top dome is attached with hook and eye construction, only used on high end pieces. I replaced the dull clear navettes around the outside of the brooch, bringing this piece back to its original beauty, as they were dull and darkened. The large clear center stone is as brilliant as the day it was made. Adele Simpson clothing was sold in high end boutiques, her jewelry was only made for a limited period of time and sold for extremely high prices even back then. This stunner of a brooch measures 2 5/8" and is signed Adele Simpson.
Vintage H. Pomerantz 1940's Glass Wing Bee Brooch: I am so pleased to present for your consideration this extremely hard to find H Pomerantz bee or wasp pin. This and the matching rabbit, which I also have, are two of the iconic pieces from this hard to find maker. The wings of the bee are large, unusual clear faceted glass, one layered above the other. The cast pot metal body is gold plated. The tail of the bee is curled down in a "ready to sting" position. His body is paved with sparkling rhinestones. There is some wear to the gold plating and the top wing has a small chip on the underside of the glass, not easily visible, but mentioned for accuracy. He measures 2 by 1 5/8". The brooch is unsigned but acknowledged to be H Pomerantz, and is a book piece.
Vintage Green Glass Cabochon Brooch with AB Rhinestones: This stunning vintage brooch features fold tone metal set with rich, glowing deep green glass cabochons in teardrop and marquise shapes. The center is set with an enormous faceted green glass stone. All of the stones but the accent AB rhinestones and the center marquise are open back to allow the light to play through. Please note they are also all prong set. The gold plated setting is in excellent condition. The brooch measures 2 1/2 by 2 1/4" and is in excellent condition.
Rare Signed Silson Horse Head Hitching Post Brooch: This rare Silson brooch from the 1940's features a horse head hitching post. The horse is detailed and elegant, with chain "reins" dangling from his head. The antique gold tone finish is in great condition, with only small wear to the ribs of the post and an area on the pin stem. The brooch measures 3 by 1" and is signed SILSON.
Vintage Carved Log with Dangling Leaves and Hazelnuts: Vintage fun from the 1940's, this wonderful carved wooden brooch is a perfect conversation starter. Suspended from the carved log is a cascade of wooden ring, themselves suspending carved wooden leaves and genuine hazelnuts. The brooch is 4" long and the log is 2 1/4". The brooch is unsigned and the condition is excellent.
Vintage 1940's H Pomerantz Rare Bunny Rabbit Brooch: This adorable bunny rabbit brooch from H. Pomerantz features huge elongated ears in amber topaz glass stones and an applied tale in silver tone metal, set with sparkling rhinestones. These pieces are always unsigned. A book piece, he can be found in Kathy Floods "Warman's Costume Jewelry Figurals" on page 52. The bunny measures 3 by 1 3/8" and is in very good condition for his age. Light plating wear and some wear of the paint on his eye, minor at best.
Victorian Blackened Sash Brooch with Black Molded Glass Stones: This stunning late Victorian sash brooch features an unusual foliate design with art nouveau elements, most likely a transition piece. Possible a mourning piece, with the metal having been blackened and the use of black stones, but it would not have been deep mourning due to the use of faceted stones. Since the death rate was high, and even cousins were mourned, women were often in black, and black became a fashion statement. The brooch is quite unusual, and I can't find another like it. The black faceted glass stones are molded. The brooch is large like most sash brooches, measuring 3 1/4 by 2 1/4". The open C-clasp holds securely.
Carved 1940's Gold Painted Lucite Fish Brooch with Rhinestones: This enchanting and whimsical 1940's fish brooch is carved from pale pink lucite in great detail and embellished with gold paint and multi color rhinestones. Her fins have deep blue accents, and I adore the big fish lips! The brooch is in wonderful condition with no chips or cracks and minor wear to the gold paint. The clasp is screwed into the brooch and holds securely with a safety pin type closure. the brooch measures 2 1/8 by 1 5/8". A delightful addition to your vintage plastics collection!
