Fabulous 1948 Coro Jeweled Axe Brooch with Tassle: This wonderful figural axe brooch was patented in 1948, A Katz design with the patent number 150621.Of antique gold tone metal with embossed scroll designs, this whimsical brooch features a jeweled circle of white rhinestones surrounding a bright prong set red chaton rhinestone. Guilding the lily is a swinging tassle behind the axe blade.  What a conversation piece!

Vintage Signed ART Glittering AB Rhinestone Cherry Brooch: Shimmering and sparkling with bright red AB rhinestones, this lovely vintage cherry brooch is as flashy as it is fun!  The cherry sports a deep red glass cabochon. It dangles from a branch of gold tone metal with light and dark green navette leaves.  In great condition, with minor foil loss to the foilback navette leaves.  Measures 2 by 2: and signed ART(c).

Vintage Austria Shades of Blue Navette Rhinestone Leaf Brooch: Three different shades of blue navette rhinestones add glitz and sparkle to this dimensional, layered vintage leaf brooch. This elegant brooch features blue on blue AB rhinestones in a layered design, each individually prong set.  The bright rhodium plated metal is in excellent condition.  The brooch measures 3 by 1 1/8" and is signed Made Austria.

Coro Pegasus Rhinestone Sword Brooch: This is such a fun brooch!  The large sword, or maybe scimitar, is done in gold washed metal.  A square sky blue rhinestone is set in the middle. The sword is set with chaton rhinestones and one large navette foil back rhinestone.  A wonderful Coro 1940's figural!   The brooch is in very good condition with minimal wear to the gold wash.  The rhinestones are bright and sparkling.

Vintage Coro Double Leaf & Rhinestone Insect Brooch: Although I was unable to find a patent number for this delightful vintage Coro brooch, it is very similar to the insect brooches that date from the late 1940's.  In excellent condition, this gold washed double leaf brooch has a whimsical rhinestone bug perched on top.  The head of the insect has a red glass high dome cabochon, clear rhinestone eyes, and blue navettes for the wings.  The body is a larger smoky blue navette. The legs and antennae are gold washed heavy wire.  The two leaves are independent and riveted together. The leaves are dimensional, not flat. The brooch measures 1 7/8 by 2" and is signed with the Coro Pegasus mark.

Vintage Marvella Enameled Black Daisy Brooch: If you think a black rose is rare just try to find a black daisy!   The gold tone setting is very substantial, with a raised textured center and fancy leaf with raised rib detail.  The life like curved petals are enameled in dramatic black which contrasts beautifully with the bright gold tone metal.  A classic vintage brooch from Marvella!  Measures 2 3/4 by 2 1/2".

Vintage Coro Jeweled Fan Brooch: This wonderful vintage fan brooch from Coro has an oriental  flair  The pleated fan is accented with engraved designs.  The jeweled flower is embellished with purple,dark blue, aqua and hot pink prong set rhinestones.  This brooch is in excellent condition. Circa late 40's to early 50's, it measures 2 1/2 by 1 1/4" and is signed Coro(script).

Marvella Elf Pushing Cart with Faux Pearls Brooch: Crafted of gold tone metal with black enamel, our busy little man is pushing a garden cart filled with faux pearls.  This is a very detailed and dimensional piece! His face is very life and he has the cutest pointy ears.  His little shoes even curl up at the tips!  The faux pearls in his cart are different sizes and in excellent condition.  The little wheel on the cart even turns!  There is some minor flaking to the black enamel paint through out the brooch, but it does not effect the look of the piece in any way.  Signed Marvella, measures 2 1/4 by 2".

1948 Coro Victor Horse Brooch: This enchanting brooch by Coro was featured in a 1948 magazine add. Named "Victor", this delightful equine features bright pink navette rhinestone ears and an aqua blue navette eye. He wears a garland of pink enameled flowers around his neck with green enameled leaves. He is made of gold tone metal and has a nice substantial weight. He is accented by bright red enamel for his mouth, and detailed with black enamel. There is slight plating loss on the back of the pendant due to age and wear. One of my Coro favorites!

Matched Pair Vintage Signed ART Mother of Pearl Fish Brooches: Another wonderful vintage figural from the ART company, these 1950's mother of pearl fish are delightful! Disks of shimmering MOP form the scales of these highly detailed and dimensional deep sea denizens.   Their bodies are formed of gold tone metal.  There is some chipping to a few of the MOP edges which is indicative of age and wear but it in no way detracts from this pair of flashy fish! Shown in Classic American Costume Jewelry by Jaqueline Rehmann on page 68.  They measures 3 by 1 1/4" and are signed ART(c).
