Rare Vintage Edlee Brooch Purple Art Glass & Crescent
This stunning and rare vintage brooch from the elusive Edlee company features oval and navette purple glass stones accented with lavender/purple satin art glass stones made exclusively for the Edlee company. The purple glass stones are set securely in dog tooth setting. The brooch is accented with two clear rhinestone set crescents. The only flaw I can find is a bed in one of the crescents, which does not effect the stunning impact of this brooch, but it mentioned for accuracy and I have priced accordingly. The gold plated metal looks as good as the day it was made. The brooch measures 2 1/2 by 2 1/4" and is signed Edlee. This brooch is shown on page 310 of collecting Costume Jewelry 202 by Julia C. Carroll.
