Stunning Vintage Blue Foil Glass & AB Rhinestone Chandelier Brooch
This vintage confection of a brooch is all in shades of blue! The center stone is a luscious, glowing blue foil glass teardrop showing glints of gold and silver foil. It is surrounded with deep smoky blue and AB rhinestones. The outside edge features a multitude of smoky blue and sapphire blue rhinestones, all mounted in multi prong "dog tooth" settings, and accented with yet more AB rhinestones. The brooch is crafted in a chandelier design, with three large pendants. The central pendant highlights yet another large foil glass stone, capped with a large smoky blue rhinestone, and smaller rhinestone accents. The two outside pendants feature a large sapphire blue rhinestone teardrops and again, more smaller rhinestones. The gold tone design is layered, and features the "hook and eye" construction of high quality pieces. I can find no flaws in this brooch. It measures 2 5/8 by 1 1/4" and is signed Western Germany.
