Stylized Sterling Elk Brooch: This gorgeous elk features a stylized design with sweeping antlers and great detailing. My feeling is that this is a Scottish piece but it has no markings. The brooch tested as sterling silver. Excellent condition with a tight and secure clasp.
Delicate 800 Silver Plique-a-Jour Enamel Butterfly Pin: This delicate vintage butterfly pin is crafted from 800 silver wire and features plique-a-jour enameling in shades of blue, green and light lavender enamel. He has a twisted wire body and upswept wings. The left side of his top wing is slightly flatter than his right which is reflected in his price. A gorgeous vintage brooch that looks so real he could fly right off your shoulder.
Angeline Miller Sterling Appaloosa Horse Brooch: Seeing spots? You will when you wear this lovely sterling brooch of a prancing Appaloosa horse. He has a spotted blanket on his rump and a flowing mane with arched tail. Show your Appaloosa pride with this lovely brooch! The signature is attributed to Navajo artist Angeline Miller. The brooch measures 2 by 1 1/4".
Sterling Signed Silverman Triple Trotting Horse Brooch: I adore these vintage horse brooches with their arched necks and docked tails! The Silverman Corp of Providence, RI was in business from 1890 to the mid 1960's. Their sterling pieces feature quality construction and lovely designs and are very collectible. This darling brooch features three proud trotting horses with braided manes and fluid design. In excellent condition. A wonderful gift for the horse lover in your life or a perfect way to treat yourself!
Vintage Sterling and Gemstone Sword Brooch with Sheath: What a great piece! This vintage sterling sword sheath is adorned with a floral design and cabochon gemstones which are bezel set. The green is a chrysoprase and the orange/red a carnelian agate. The sword has a scrolled pommel and the crossgaurd has a scalloped edge. The two are joined by an intricate chain. The clasp is tight and secure and from the type of clasp I am dating this piece to the 1920's. This lovely brooch is in excellent vintage condition. A great conversation piece and proud addition to your silver collection!
Huge Artisan Sterling, Baroque Pearl and Hematite Pendant: This attention gathering pendant is hand crafted from sterling silver and features a large ( 1 1/4 by 3/4") hematite stone, a long baroque pearl shimmering with iridescence and a round peacock black pearl all set in bezel settings. The hinged bale is huge and features an open work scrolled pattern. This large bale will allow you to wear this dramatic pendant on several strands of beads or pearls! A fabulous one of a kind piece that will quickly become your signature necklace!
Sterling Carl-Art Foliate Brooch with Blue and Clear Rhinestones: This signed Carl-Art brooch is absolutely stunning. Crafted in sterling silver, this elegant brooch features two dimensional leaves with a sweeping branch of rhinestones that lays above a leaf. The clear baguettes and aqua blue chaton rhinestones are all individually prong set and glitter and sparkle! The patina on this immaculate brooch is wonderful! Excellent condition.
Sterling Silver and Princess Cut Large CZ Cross: Love crosses? Love bling? Then this is the piece for you. This shiny rhodium plated sterling silver cross is set with princess cut CZ's in a raised central cross pattern. These Cz's are channel set. The silver frame features a raised edge and a granulated design. The ultra large bale lets you use any size chain or cord.
Unsigned Sterling 1940's Horse Head Chatelaine Brooch: This fabulous chatelaine brooch features elegant horses in sterling silver with one large horse head on the left and two smaller horses on the right. Although unmarked, this piece has tested sterling. It is quite substantial! The horse heads are outlined in bright blue chaton rhinestones. The curled mane is adorned with clear chaton rhinestones and the large horse has a rich red rhinestone eye. Black and red enamel detail the faces. The large horse measures 2 by 3/4" and the smaller horse heads measure 1 by 1 1/4". The sterling open link chain is a very nice weight and has no weak links. The shortest chain measures 4 1/2" and the longer measure 5 1/4". This horse head design is shown in Julia C. Carroll's Costume Jewelry 202 on page 52 as a variation of the 1943 Coro patent 135970 assigned to Adolph Katz. However, this particular brooch was shown in a 1940's magazine with no attribution. So in all probability not Qoro, just a lovely and well made copy of their popular design. That being the case, this is a magnificent chatelaine brooch and will be a proud addition to any vintage jewelry collection and a great conversation piece pinned to your favorite sweater or jacket.
Vintage Taxco Mexico Sterling and Jasper Clip Earrings: These impressive vintage earrings from Taxco, Mexico feature large high dome cabochon stones set in a sterling bezel adorned with a twisted rope. I am not sure what stone this is, possibly a jasper. They are a black background with bright red matrixed spots, very interesting stones! The clip backs are tight and secure. They are marked numerous times, but the marks are very hard to read.
