Vintage Thomas Jefferson Monticello Foundation Federal Eagle Brooch with Pearl: From the Thomas Jefferson Monticello Foundation jewelry collection, this stunning vintage federal eagle brooch is crafted in textured gold plated metal. The brooch is detailed and dimensional, with individual feathers and a blue rhinestone eye. In his claws he clutches a large faux pearl. He has a tiny ding of plating loss on his left wing, other than that small blemish he is in wonderful condition. The eagle measures 1 1/2 by 1 5/8" and is signed TJMF(c).
Fabulous Marcel Boucher Sterling Exotic Bird Brooch: This exotic vintage bird brooch from Marcel Boucher is crafted in gold plated sterling silver and dates from the late 1940s. The bird is crested, his crest set with pave' sparkling rhinestones. His wing is accented with three prong set emerald cut deep purple rhinestones. His dimensional design is quite fabulous! The gold vermeil over the sterling has worn some from age and use, but the brooch still shows extremely well. I have not polished the metal. The brooch is signed sterling with the Phrygian cap of Marcel Boucher. It measures 2 3/8" by 1 1/4". A fabulous figural collectible, and not one easily found!
Vintage Lucite Disk Pendant Necklace with Horned Owl: A fun and fabulous figural piece, this vintage 1970s necklace features a huge pendant of clear lucite, framed in a heavily textured gold plated frame. The center of the medallion hosts a charming horned owl sitting on a branch, complete with ruby rhinestone eyes. The owl is detailed and dimensional with a hint of attitude! The pendant measures 3 3/8 by 3" and is suspended from a heavy woven link chain. Although Monet jewelry used this same owl as a brooch, this piece is unsigned and I can't find another online.
Artisan Black Cultured Pearl Necklace 14K Enamel Lovebirds in Heart Drop Pendant: This lovely artisan necklace is crafted from black cultured Chinese pearls, hand knotted on silk between each pearl. The clasp and pendant are both 14k gold. The pendant is a delicate heart with two enamel lovebirds on a branch, which acid tests as 14k gold. The necklace is in excellent condition and is 18" long.
Vintage CoroCraft Flawed Emerald Lucite Belly Duck in Flight Brooch: This stunning vintage CoroCraft figural brooch features a duck in flight. The dimensional and lifelike brooch has a "flawed" emerald green lucite body. These stones are referred to as flawed due to the white swirls flowing through them. The wings are both heavily detailed with feathers, and accented with small pave' set rhinestones, as is the tail and collar of neck. His eye is a bright ruby red rhinestone. There are even tiny clear rhinestones on his tucked back legs. The gold plating on the brooch is in excellent condition. Some of the rhinestones have darkened a bit with age but still have plenty of sparkle. the brooch measures 2 1/4 by 1 1/2" and is signed CoroCraft.
Vintage Sterling Silver Art Nouveau Style Bird in Trumpet Vines: This stunning sterling brooch features a stamped design of a charming bird clinging to trumpet vines. The design is lovely, with curled leaves, berries and morning glories in a frame around the bird on branch. Although crafted in the art nouveau style, the clasp dates this as a later piece. The brooch measures 3 1/2 by 2" and is unsigned, but acid tests as sterling silver. I have left the original oxidation on the brooch, I will leave any polishing to the new owner. The rollover clasp is tight and secure, the brooch in excellent condition.
Vintage Signed Jeanne Rhinestone Peacock Brooch: This stunning peacock brooch is fabulous in design and execution! The antique gold tone peacock is detailed down to the feathers! The sparkling silver gray rhinestones border the brooch and accent the tail feathers to perfection. The comb is set with ruby red rhinestones as is his eye. A larger piece, the brooch measures 3 3/8 by 1 1/2". It is signed Jeanne(c). A hard to find piece from this renowned maker of figural brooches.
Vintage 1941 Dorians Krewe Mardi Gras Call Out Favor Rhinestone Birds Fur Clip: This stunning vintage fur clip is from the 1941 Dorians Krewe Mardi Gras ball. These clips were call out favors, given to the ladies at the ball. They were made by the top costume jewelry companies, including Trifari, Pennino, Weiss, Ora and others. This stunning favor was gifted when dress clips were in vogue. The double birds on a branch motif is plated in bright rhodium and set with clear rhinestones. Over time, some of the stones have darkened but I have left this rare treat in its original condition. The fur clip mechanism works perfectly and is signed Dorians 1941. It measures 2 by 1 3/4".
Vintage Les Bernard Sterling Textured Baby Bird Brooch: This enchanting sterling vermeil figural brooch from designer Les Bernard features a baby bird with his mouth wide open. His body is layered in gold and he has a sparkling pink eye. Les Bernard did use genuine gemstones, but I haven't tested this. The brooch is so realistic! There is some light wear to the vermeil which only adds depth to his feathers. I love these Les Bernard figurals, and know you will too! the baby bird measures 1 1/2 by 3/4" and is signed Les Bernard sterling.
Vintage Rhinestone Horned Owl Brooch Two Tone Layered Design: Fabulous in every way, this vintage owl brooch is a period copy of the well known Trifari "Firebird series" owl brooch. The brooch is crafted in sections and riveted together. The back layer is gold plated metal. The eye section is silver tone metal, dimpled to resemble rhinestones, with glowing green lucite eyes. The top layer of feathers is a separate section set with sparkling orange/red rhinestones. The bottom feathers are set with green rhinestones. The riveted construction designs were expensive to make, as each section is a separate cast. The owl is in excellent condition, measures 2 1/4 by 1 5/8" and is unsigned.
