Art Deco Sterling Our Lady of Peace Blue Glass Ring: Vintage Art Deco era Catholic ring featuring the Blessed Virgin Mary in sterling silver on faceted blue glass in a sterling silver setting. The ring is in very good condition for its age, but was obviously loved and worn. There are a few chips next to the peg on the bottom of the stone, and the ring shank was soldered at the bottom at one point. The design of the ring is lovely and it is a very wearable piece. I would recommend against sizing, the ring is currently a size 6. It is marked STERLING. A very unusual find!
Art Deco Chrysoprase Marcasite and Sterling Silver Pendant Necklace: This art deco sterling necklace is simply stunning! The pendant features a disk of genuine chrysoprase accented with a trefoil silver piece set with marcasites. The frame has a lovely design, the stone is secured with 4 sets of double prongs. The bale is marked sterling on the top. The pendant measures 1 by 7/8". The pendant also has two stamps on the back, I can't make them out even with a loupe. The spiral link chain is 20 1/2" and closes securely with the old style "thumbless" spring ring, also marked sterling on both sides. The necklace is in wonderful condition.
Art Deco Silver Overlay Germany Red Celluloid Needle Case: This lovely art deco needle case is from an era when even the most utilitarian items were so beautifully made! Crafted in lipstick red celluloid and bound with silver overlay on both the top and bottom, the top unscrews to hold sewing needles. There is a rough area that runs down the side of the top, scuffing in the celluloid, but it does not effect either the look or the use of the piece. The needle case measures 3 5/8" long by 3/4" wide and is stamped Germany on the top. A lovely piece of sewing history from days gone by!
Art Deco Ring Sterling Black Onyx and Paste Rhinestones: This classic art deco ring features a disk of black onyx accented with a bezel set paste rhinestone in the center. The onyx is securely set is a saw tooth bezel. The disk is ringed with a circle of paste rhinestones, each individually prong set. The band has a lovely embossed design on three sides and is marked sterling. As in most old paste rhinestones, these have darkened with age, but still have sparkle and add character to the ring. The ring is a size 5 1/4. I would suggest against sizing as you would lose an area of the patterned band.
Art Deco Purple Glass Lavalier Filigree Necklace: This gorgeous example of an art deco lavalier necklace features a brass stamped filigree pendant with layered design, set with a deep purple faceted glass stone. Other than a few tiny flee bites on the facet edges, the stone is perfection. The pendant is suspended from a delicate brass link chain, set with stations of faceted lighter purple faceted glass beads. The clasp is most likely a later replacement and is marked 1/20th of 12K gf (golf filled) and holds securely. The necklace measures 17" with the lavalier dropping 2 3/4" ( measurements include the small circle medallion) and 1 1/4" wide. There is age patina to the brass and some old solder showing on the back. The piece is unsigned.
Art Deco Art Glass and Pyramid Glass Necklace: I created this necklace from a bevy of art deco beads I had been saving from various bits and pieces of broken necklaces. All of the beads are authentic deco as is the brass clasp. The focal point of the necklace is the four large banded glass beads. Their colors simply pop! I used coral "raspberry" beads and small round glass beads to pick out the reddish/coral color stripes in the beads and filled the strand with wonderful pyramid shaped beads in matching colors. The base of each has a filigree brass end cap. The clasp is an authentic deco screw clasp, which holds securely. The necklace is strung on a double strand of silk for strength. The necklace measures 18".
Vintage Art Deco Black Galalith Marcasite French Cicada Brooch: This stunning French art deco cicada figural brooch is hand carved from black galalith and and embellished with gold paint. The brooch is accented with sparkling marcasites set into the wings and the eyes. The cicada is in amazing condition with no signed of wear and measures 3 by 1 7/8". These pieces were French in origin but never signed. A true art deco treasure!
Vintage Art Deco Sterling Silver Marcasite Black Onyx and Mother-of-Pearl Brooch: This gorgeous art deco brooch is crafted in sterling silver and set with an elongated emerald cut black onyx as the focal point. The black onyx is flanked on either side with shimmering mother-of-pearl inlay, with more MOP accenting the top and bottom. The stepped, angular design is set with sparkling marcasites, each stone bead set. The silver has a nice weight, the design classic deco. The brooch is marked 925 and measures 2 1/4 by 1 1/8".
Art Deco Graduated Flower Dot Celluloid Bead and Brass Necklace: This unusual art deco celluloid necklace features graduated beads embellished with concave dots forming a flower, with a red painted accent in the center. The beads graduate from 17.5mm to 6.5mm at the clasp. The celluloid beads are accented with ornate brass bead caps, adding even more fun! The original brass screw clasp works perfectly. The necklace measures 17" and at some point in its life has been securely restrung on nylon.
Art Deco Czech Molded Green Glass and Marcasite Choker Necklace: This art deco necklace is both feminine and fun! The necklace is composed of alternating stations of molded green glass to mimic chrysoprase, and scalloped "leaves" set with five sparkling marcasites, each linked together to lay fluidly around the neck. The chromium plated metal is in great condition showing only very minimum wear. The chain is composed of linked oval green glass beads, and closes with a small push in clasp signed Czechoslovakia. The necklace measures 16".
