Southwestern Sterling and Turquoise Serpent Necklace
This amazing Southwestern necklace features a heavily detailed, cast sterling silver serpent accented with a rich blue/green matrixed turquoise stone. The snake is beautifully crafted with individual scales and a very detailed face. He measures 2 3/4" long. The turquoise measures 5/8" and is set in a substantial scalloped bezel. The heavy sterling rope chain measures 10" on each side and closes with a heavy lobster claw which is marked 925. The symbol of the snake in Native American culture refers to transformation, healing, fertility and patience. The serpent is thought to be the deliverer of prayers.
