Edwardian Iris Glass, Paste and Faceted Glass Snowflake Pin
This stunning antique Edwardian brooch features a gilded brass snowflake set with iris glass and clear paste rhinestones, accented with blue enamel, and set off to perfection with a center stone that almost defies description! The center stone is glass, heavily faceted and set point up. It flashes colors of red, green and blue but is not a traditional rivoli stone. The colors are fixed in the stone. The brooch has an open C-clasp closure. It is in excellent condition and measures 1 1/4". Although not marked, I am confident this is a Czech piece due to style, construction and stones used.
