Vintage Matisse Copper Enamel Artist's Palette Brooch & Earring Set
This vintage copper enamel set from Matisse features a whimsical artist's palette enameled in dark red with gold, green and white accents and three copper brushes. The brooch is huge, measuring 4 1/4 by 1 3/4". The matching clip back earrings measure 2 by 7/8", and have two brushes. All pieces are signed Matisse (c). The enamel has no chips or cracks on the brooch, and one small surface chip on one earring. This set can be found in Burkholt'z "Copper Art Jewelry" on pages 102 and 137.
