Antique Art Nouveau Foliate Sash Brooch with Green Czech Glass
This antique art nouveau sash brooch or pin features a flowing foliate design of vines, leaves and flowers in silver tone metal. It is a layered design, the center holding a large oval mottled Czech glass cabochon ( often erroneously called Peking glass) is applied to the rectangular back. The brooch measures 3 by 2" and has an open C-clasp. As you can see from my pics, there is a bend in the pin stem, but it holds securely in the clasp. other than the bend in the pin stem, the brooch is in excellent condition.
