Vintage Art Deco Style Joseph Wiesner Rhinestone Comet Brooch
Awesome, Amazing, Stellar...these are only a few of the adjectives I could use to describe this fabulous vintage brooch by the incomparable Joseph Weisner. Crafted in heavy rhodium plated pot metal, this art deco style brooch from the late 40's is adorned with individually prong set foil back rhinestones in every color of the rainbow. The smaller pave set rhinestones that decorate the "tail" of the comet are all present and sparkling. Excellent condition. Measures 3 by 1 1/2" and signed Joseph Weisner, NY. This book piece can be found in Julia C. Carroll's book Costume Jewelry 202 on page 477.
