Trifari 1967 "Precious Pets" Enamel Lion Brooch
This delightful figural lion brooch is from the 1967 Trifari "Precious Pets" series. The maned lion is one of the harder to find pieces in the series. These figural brooches were featured in a Harpers Bazaar magazine add. The lion measures 1 3/4 by 1 1/2" and has emerald glass eyes in a white enamel body with raised deep blue enamel accents on a gold tone body. One of his flower petals has enamel wear, and there are a few pin pricks of enamel missing from his nose. His roll over clasp is tight and secure. The brooch is signed Trifari (c).
