Signed R Wongitillin Carved Narwhal Tusk Orca Brooch
This lovely and graceful carved narwhal tusk orca brooch was made by Inuit artist R. Wongitillin. The carving is lifelike and the use of the natural gradation in the material define his dead and tail. Although I searched, I was able to find exquisite carvings from this artist, but no jewelry. The orca is a very nice size, measuring 3 3/8 by 1 1/8". The pin stem has a bend but still closes securely. The brooch is signed R Wingitillin.
