Rare Art Deco Celluloid Necklace with Carved Bone Flower Basket Pendant
I am pleased to present for your consideration with art deco era celluloid and bone necklace. The old style celluloid chain is a light tan, the links in excellent condition. The chain suspends a carved bone basket pendant. The basket is lovely, with a large blossom in the center and flowers climbing the handles. The basket is adorned with a cross hatch pattern. The pendant is delicately tinted with vegetable dye. I believe this piece is Japanese in origin. The chain measures 28" and the pendant measures 2 1/8 by 1 1/4" including the bale.
