Vintage Carved Blue Rose Brooch Sterling Marcasite: One of the most beautiful rose brooches I have ever seen, this lovely brooch features a carved dimensional and detailed rose tinted a lovely light blue. The rose is actually carved celluloid. While most celluloid was molded, occasionally it was carved, I have another piece that is also carved and painted celluloid. It is the exception, not the rule. The fine lines on the back of the rose ARE NOT Schreger lines, they are made to mimic ivory by drawing a current through the hot material, a technique also seen used in Italian lucite. The stem and leaves are sterling silver and enhanced with small marcasites. This lovely piece is a very nice size measuring 3 3/8 by 1 3/8". It is signed STERLING on the back of the brooch.
Vintage Robert Allison Sterling Iona Scottish Agate Circle Brooch: Beautiful vintage Robert Allison sterling Iona Scottish agate circle brooch. The brooch features oval cabochons of moss agate and carnelian agate separated with Celtic silver work. Fully hallmarked with the date mark for 1957. The lovely oval cabochon stones are in excellent condition with no chips or cracks. Tube hinge with roll over clasp. Simply lovely! 1 5/8”.
Vintage Sterling Art Nouveau Stylized Shell Brooch: I fell in love with this elegant design when I first spotted it. Art Nouveau in style, but dating this later, this lovely sterling brooch features a very stylized design. The patina is wonderful on this fluid design. It's unmarked but acid tests as sterling silver. Not to large, and not too small, it measures 1 5/8 by 1 3/8". Unsigned.
Vintage Carl Art Sterling Triple Horse Head Brooch: This lovely vintage Carl Art sterling brooch features three horse heads, each horse with a bridle and rain. The brooch is in lovely condition and measures 2 3/8 by 1 7/8". This would make a lovely stock pin!
Art Deco Morpho Butterfly Sterling Pendant Necklace Cactus Scene: This stunning art deco sterling morpho butterfly wing pendant necklace features an unusual scene of a desert with the sun in the sky filled with clouds and birds. The colors are fantastic and glowing, with the sky shading from blue to purple. The pendant is in immaculate condition, and flaws are reflections. The pendant measures 1 1/8 by 1" and is suspended from a fine 16" chain with an old style clip clasp marked sterling. A fabulous and unusual piece!
Vintage Larimar Pectolite Sterling Silver Drop Earrings Pierced: These absolutely stunning sterling silver earrings are crafted with Larimar (Pectolite) cabochons, found only in the Dominican Republic. These stones are quite beautiful, with a light blue background and blue green circle patterns. The cabochons are a very nice size, the bottom stones measuring 7/8 by 5/8". These earrings are for pierced ears. They are very well made, the bezels tight and secure. They are signed 925.
Vintage D'Or Sterling Atomic Explosion Star or Comet Brooch: Not a name you commonly see, this fabulous vintage brooch from D'Or is crafted in sterling silver and features a glittering rhinestone star in icy light blue and clear rhinestones . Silver rays burst out rom the star and are accented with yet more rhinestones in alternating blue and clear. Wear is as a star, sideways as a comet, or as an atomic age design, it fabulous no matter how you turn it! The prong set stones are all brillian. Signed D'Or.
Art Deco Sterling Dragons Breath Brooch: Fabulous Art Deco sterling dragons breath brooch. I love the design of this piece! The open work design highlights the bezel set stone perfectly. Vintage Sterling Silver Leaping Cat Brooch: This beautiful cast sterling silver brooch features a detailed leaping cat. He is very life like and his face quite expressive. He measures 2 1/2 by 7/8". Signed 925 and MMA.
Vintage Trifari Sterling Fluted Leaf Fur Clip Rose Gold Vermeil: Trifari sterling vermeil fluted shell fur clip, Alfred Philippe, patent number 137,545, 28th March, 1944. The rose gold vermeil does have light wear from age and use but is still quite beautiful. Measures 2 by 1 3/4”. Interestingly, this clip was made in two versions. The non sterling was made in gold tone or silver tone Trifanium metal, had a rollover clasp for one side of the prong to attach, and was signed with the patent number. The sterling version was made in rose gold vermeil, has a hook instead of a roll over clasp, and does not have the patent number, instead it is signed sterling. This is a stunning and hard to find piece. It was not unusual for Trifari to make designs in sterling and non sterling versions.
