Vintage Art Deco Sterling Silver Marcasite Black Onyx and Mother-of-Pearl Brooch: This gorgeous art deco brooch is crafted in sterling silver and set with an elongated emerald cut black onyx as the focal point. The black onyx is flanked on either side with shimmering mother-of-pearl inlay, with more MOP accenting the top and bottom. The stepped, angular design is set with sparkling marcasites, each stone bead set. The silver has a nice weight, the design classic deco. The brooch is marked 925 and measures 2 1/4 by 1 1/8".
Vintage 1940s Green Enamel Rhinestone Bellflower Brooch: This lovely vintage 1940's pot metal brooch features a bellflower bouquet, each dimensional flower adorned with accents of deep green enamel and sparkling clear and green rhinestones. The gold plated brooch is layered and dimensional. The open work leaves are also accented with green enamel. The front is in excellent condition, the back shows age related plating wear. This unusual brooch measures 3 1/4 by 2" and is unsigned.
Vintage 1941 Unsigned Rice-Weiner Water Carrier Brooch: This wonderful figural Chinese water carrier brooch was designed by L.C. Mark for Rice-Weiner, with a patent date of Sept. 16, 1941, patent number 129,573. There were several design versions of this brooch, and this one is quite nice! The large figural has a red enamel shirt and rhinestone studded shorts. The rhinestones were mostly missing when I received him, the few left a disaster, so I replaced all of his rhinestones with clear, the original color. Two different size Venetian "wedding cake" beads are suspended from his pole. His plating is in wonderful shape, with slight wear to his nose and a spot on his cheek. He is a very nice size at 3 by 2 3/4", and is unsigned, but verified by design and patent.
Vintage Red Rhinestone Layered Floral Spray Brooch Rhodium Metal: This vintage rhinestone floral spray brooch is simply stunning! The bright rhodium plated metal is as lovely as the day it was made. The leaves and stems are composed of navette and long baguette rhinestones, all clear and brilliant. The trio of ruby red flowers are raised above the leaves and each is centered with a clear chaton rhinestone. All of the stones are individually prong set. The lovely design lends itself to be worn at many different angles. The riveted construction is classic 1950's. The brooch measures 2 1/2 by 2" and surprisingly is unsigned.
Vintage Christian Dior Classic Faux Pearl and Rhinestone Bar Pin: This classic and elegant vintage brooch from Christian Dior features a bar pin style in bright gold tone set with three glowing oval faux pearls and accented with sparkling clear rhinestones. A twisted border frames each pearl. The brooch is beautifully crafted and has a nice weight. It measures 2 1/2 by 5/8" and is signed ChrDior(c).
Vintage Sapphire Blue Crystal Layered Flower Brooch: This sparkling vintage brooch dates from the late 30's-40's. The sapphire blue faceted crystals are bezel set and layered. The center is cast in silver tone metal and set with a circle of baguettes around a rhinestone studded domed center. The gold tone leaves are riveted to the central flower. Although I often see these unsigned pieces attributed to Pennino, the construction is different from how Pennino made their pieces. There is normal age wear to the edges on the bezels. This piece has a nice size at 2 3/4 by 2". A very showy piece!
Vintage Trifari "Radiance" Green Chrysolite Rhinestone Brooch: This glittering brooch from the 1961 "Radiance" line features emerald green navette rhinestones framing six raised flowers. Each flower features brilliant, icy green chrysolite rhinestones with a large AB rhinestone center, five flowers encircling a slightly raised sixth flower. The gold Trifanium metal is in excellent condition. The brooch measures 2" and is signed Trifari. This is one of my favorite Trifari brooches, it came in a myriad of colors, but the chryslolite has to be my favorite! The line was shown in a 1961 ad for magazines.
Vintage Chinese Export Carved Cinnabar Silver and Enamel Brooch: This lovely vintage 1930's Chinese export pin is crafted in 800 silver vermeil (tested) with a beautifully carved cinnabar oval in a floral motif. The cinnabar is framed with twisted border enameled in blue and red. The roll over clasp holds very securely. The brooch measures 1 1/4 by 1" and is signed China.
Vintage 1930's Rhinestone Ballerina Brooch: This lovely ballerina brooch is crafted in gold plated metal. Her bodice is pave'd with sparkling clear rhinestones, her face an inverted ( point up) red rhinestone and her headdress is accented with tiny rhinestones. Her swirling open work skirt is set with light green rhinestones. One leg is bent behind the other as she dances in point shoes. Her condition is very nice for her age, the rhinestones are gorgeous, her plating in very good condition. She measures 2 5/8 by 2 1/8" and is unsigned, as are so many of these early treasures. Circa 1930's.
Large Art Deco Czech Green Wooden Spider Brooch Brass Legs: This adorable vintage Czech spider brooch features a wooden body painted a bright green, with large eyes and a black stripe on his neck. His eight legs are brass. The clasp is an inset c-clasp and is secure. His condition is wonderful, there are two small spots of paint loss which I have shown in a photo. The spider is a very nice size, measuring 2 1/4 by 2 1/2". He is unsigned but Czech in origin.
